The Executive Committee of the local Kappa Delta Pi chapter is a standing committee required by the International Constitution and Bylaws, and is chaired by the President. Serving as a steering committee for the chapter, it is suggested that the Executive Committee meet more often than general membership meetings would be held. While there are often issues to be voted on that must be conducted during a general membership meeting (i.e., election of officers, passing of local bylaws), decisions that may affect the entire chapter such as programming may be approved by the Executive Committee. In addition, the Executive Committee is responsible for approving the chapter budget.
